He is a diligent individual who values sincerity and integrity, though these qualities alone are not enough to impress him. Having seen plenty in his life of two centuries, he is hard to surprise anymore; he personally is both tired and fearful that he will never find anything in the world to once again interest and engage him the same way it used to as a wide-eyed child. Though he comes off as avoidant of others due to a fear of attachment, he lends a listening ear to those who sincerely ask him of it. Those who have earned his trust find him a gentle, old soul who tries to ease his companions' troubles in any way he can. He is known to be extremely vain and will often compliment his looks to himself.

Despite Elja's many years of life on this star, he never really considered picking up something to work on until he found his hands idle. In memory of his mentor whose last name he adopted in respect and whose favourite pastime was carving wooden miniatures, he has decided to learn woodworking. Many years of experience, however, does not mean he is instinctively good at it. Would you like to accompany him as he tries his best on a piece, or better yet teach him? He is open to learning even at his age, always.

the forest protector

Poachers and smugglers would find Elja their bane, not to mention a mighty pain in the ass. He's no slouch in keeping these charlatans at bay, guarding the forest as much as he guards the people living in it. The locals aren't immune to this either! Elja spends many a sun observing and studying the ecosystem so as to ensure that the jungle is sustained. Perhaps you might butt heads over this with him, or you're a scholar looking into the reason why Thavnair's jungles need specific animals to be present.

a delicate balance

Alongside the popular adventurer choice of being a hunter and bodyguard, Elja also offers his services to alchemists and villages. Elja, being a former Wood-warder, will always look into the impact of killing specific animals for their materials or their behaviour in case that there are always alternatives to just destroying their lives, but not everyone will agree with him and he's stubbornly sticking to his Wood-warder ways. Why not hire him and face the conflict of interest?

the ring of many charms

Upon Elja's belt when he isn't hunting or working, a strange bunch of charms hangs from a ring attached to his belt. Other than the bright blue feathers and ropes, some interesting objects stand out: a bullet, a lacquered paper crane, a miniature geomancy mirror, a small wooden plaque with a language unrecognisable to most save Rava viera, and a white griffin feather.

Elja keeps a small list of 'regular clients' who pay him handsomely for his company, thus ensuring that he isn't wanting in coin. While he isn't fussy and will generally do his best to make his client's day (or night) better, he does have his limits and it's never a good idea to threaten a former hunter who has lived for this long. That's a long time to live.In that time Elja has had many an experience and possibly just as many regrets. Some of his decisions, such as leaving his clan to pursue his mentor's trail, he deeply wishes he had not done. He's left a mate behind in Golmore and he can never return - a pain, for a viera who realises he'll outlive the majority of the world's peoples and watch as time passes... and he's alone.Despite his youthful appearance Elja is an old soul. There are many things he won't talk about, but if you're on a level of familiarity with him where he feels he can trust you with his deepest regrets and less positive introspection, then perhaps you can discuss with him those issues - his fear that he will never find wonder in the world again, his shying away from romantic attachments, and finding peace of mind with his past decisions.

I prefer my smut to be natural and having a reason to happen, i.e. plot WITH porn.With that said, this page serves to be as transparent as possible on Elja's offered escort services and a little background as to why he offers such a deal.Elja spent his childhood in a village surrounded by people before he was taken in by his master, Mireit, to be trained as a Wood-warder. Finding the new life to be incredibly lonely save for his master's presence, he eventually struck up a relationship with his master, but then was abruptly left alone again after many years when Mireit departed from the jungle.He has spent the majority of his 200 years of life being alone, and thus oft longs for companionship - though he is afraid of getting into fully committed relationships with other races due to his naturally long lifespan. Thus he tends to maintain a level of intimacy with people who hire him for company, but not too close that he becomes romantically attached. He is not up for a committed relationship.

- You as the player should be 21+ OOC.- IC =/= OOC. Elja is not me, his tastes are not mine.- Elja is incredibly vanilla and isn't interested in anything immensely kinky. He's lived long enough to tell you that fetishes are like exotic food: he'll fantasise about having a wild time but at the end of the day he'd be happy with just a well-done omelette.- There is no exchange of gil ingame required for his services. If your character is hiring him it should be assumed that they are already a 'regular client' and therefore they are already paying him upfront. They can tip him extra if they feel like it but he prides himself on good service so the tip is not mandatory.- As stated before he is pansexual and will be happy to accompany trans, ace or nonbinary characters.- He hates anyone who gets clingy and will fire them as a client if they go too far. Romantic attachment as conflict is welcome but it will be one-sided and Elja will maintain the status quo. Exploring the theme is not out of the question though!- Your character should be a regular traveller to Radz or Thavnair to meet him. If your character would like him to escort them on a trip, hit me up as well! Elja is happy to please.
